Sponsorship and Advertising

GENERAL
Jamboree Heights State School is a leader in curriculum and other opportunities offered to our students. They could not maintain these high standards without community support.

The P & C successfully fundraises a reasonable amount of money to continue the excellent programs run at JHSS. But we need and want to provide so much more.

So we invite interested local businesses to advertise in our P & C Newsletter, to sponsor events, and to donate goods or services to the school.

ADVERTISING

We offer a business card (approx) sized ad on the back page of our P & C Newsletter, which is either an A4 or an A3 ( printed in an A4 booklet style) publication on bright yellow paper (see most recent downloadable version). Each ad of this size costs $25 which includes basic design. You can purchase more advertising space, in blocks of a business card size, and the price increases accordingly.

Due to popular demand of advertising, and time constraints on our volunteers, we will be taking bookings for 2 ads at a time. These ads can be placed anytime within the current school year.

Payment for advertising is strictly upfront due to accountant’s requirements. You will be issued a Tax Invoice with all payment options listed on the bottom. You must contact us as soon as payment is made, as failing to do this may result in a delay in processing your payment, and therefore delay the placement of your ad.

To make this process easier, we now accept payments online. Please consider this when booking your ad, as it is much faster!

Your information is required 2 weeks prior to the ad placement date to allow for creation, modification and your approval.

We also have an online Business Directory. A standard ad is only $50.00 for the whole calendar year! You can have your ad professionally designed like the current ads for only $100.00, or provide an image of your own.

SPONSORSHIP

Our last school fete was held on the 1st of August 2009. This is our largest fundraiser and is a biennial event, but unfortunately the window for sponsorship of this event is obviously closed. However due to the extremely high response to sponsoring the fete previously, we are taking expressions of interest for sponsoring our 2011 fete now, so register your interest early and don't miss out!

We are also looking to introduce sponsoring of our other smaller school events such as sports days, disco's etc. Please have a look at our School Calendar or Fundraising Calendar pages to see which events are available for sponsorship. They will be marked by blue text. Enquiries should be made as soon as possible to ensure your sponsorship of the event, and paperwork and payment must be completed 4 weeks prior to the event.

Even if there are no events marked in blue, please enquire now as it may be too late once the calendar is updated.

There are also opportunities for smaller sponsorships of classroom projects, sporting teams, music groups etc.

These ideas are by no means final and we would love to hear yours, so let us know what you would like to do, and we can start organising!

FUNDRAISING

If your business has a product or service that would be of interest to our school community, then why not consider turning it into a fundraiser for the school. The welcomed introduction of the Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools has removed all the traditional fundraisers such as chocolate and pie drives, and regular cake stalls.

Your business would organise a percentage or dollar amount that would be donated to the school for every service booked or product sold and we would distribute the information to the school community, collect payment (if applicable) and hand the product out (if applicable).

If you are able to consider this as a realistic project for your business, even if it is only at the idea stage, let us know.
