WELCOME TO 2009!
Welcome to another exciting year at JHSS. We are really proud of our school and do what we can to make it even better. Of course the school is just a group of buildings without a unified community of students, parents and staff.
The P & C plays a very important role in helping the school provide the best possible education for your children. We donate up to $30 000 each year to the school to assist in buying simple resources unfortunately not funded by the government.
The P & C also runs the Outside School Hours Care program, the Tuckshop, and the Uniform Shop. As we are run solely by volunteers, we always need more help. There are many ways you can help, small and large, so please have a look at the About P & C page to find out more of the many functions of the P & C.
FETE 2009
Our biggest event this year was the fete, held on Saturday the 1st of August. With a fun circus theme, rides, food and entertainment, it was a great day! So visit our Fete 09 page over the next couple of weeks for reviews, photos and all our great sponsors. Don't forget tolet us know what you thought in our Fete Survey. We also had a fantastic guest performer – if you missed it, click here to find out who!!
And we can't forget a big thank you to all the volunteers on, and leading up to, the day. The stalls were all wonderfully manned by parents, teachers and even students, not to mention all the donations, baking, craft, and rehersals needed to make the day a success. So THANK YOU!
